Race data and assumptions

This game starts two recorded laps together. It cannot change the car a driver actually used. Results describe selected recordings, not driver competence or what someone would do in another car.

All race telemetry presently belongs to Orange Car. White Car has three video recordings and no supplied VBOX data. Passenger Laps are excluded from driver selection because the driver's identity is unspecified.

Timing uses interpolated crossings of the estimated start longitude, in the correct direction and a racing-line latitude band. Candidate full laps must cover 5–6.5 km and last 100–500 seconds. Pit departure and pit-return boundaries outside that band are excluded. This is heuristic completeness screening, not certified lap validation; traffic and conditions are unknown.

Speed is recorded. Acceleration/deceleration comes from a centred one-second speed window and does not prove brake or throttle input. Steering is a GPS-curvature model with illustrative 2.5 m wheelbase and 15:1 steering ratio. Gear uses generic speed bands, not actual 991 GT3 RS PDK shift data. Derived lateral G uses recorded speed and GPS curvature, not an accelerometer.

GPS is rendered from the actual file coordinates. No official Silverstone map, building or landmark positions have been supplied. Graph progress is normalised independently for each lap, not official sectors. Replay samples are reduced from 10 Hz to approximately 5 Hz for offline packaging.

No audio commentary. Embedded telemetry works offline. White Car video links need OneDrive access; a local-video chooser supports playback only when the browser supports the file’s codec.

Driving review points

GPS-grounded observations for a returning novice in an unspecified Porsche. Suggestions for discussion, not a substitute for instruction.

Review how speed builds after the slow section

20–30% of full-lap GPS distance: 22.15 s full lap vs 19.90 s final run. At the ending landmark: 129.8 vs 158.2 km/h.

Suggested review: replay the two exits with an instructor. Discuss whether the planned line and reference points were repeatable. Do not copy the higher speed without checking traffic, grip and the car. GPS cannot tell us when throttle was applied.

Build a repeatable plan through the slower section

40–50% window: minimum recorded speed 39.7 km/h full lap vs 46.3 km/h final run. Window duration 27.60 vs 25.10 s.

Suggested review: choose clear approach and exit reference points with an instructor. Ask whether the slower approach was intentional or required by traffic. Aim for calm, repeatable decisions before adding pace. A lower minimum speed is not proof of a mistake.

A higher minimum speed does not guarantee a shorter section

60–70% window: final run takes 1.05 s longer (25.30 vs 24.25 s), despite minimum speeds of 57.2 vs 55.1 km/h.

Suggested review: compare the whole section, not one peak or minimum. Ask what changed in the approach, line or surrounding traffic. This record cannot establish the cause, so do not assume that later braking would help.

Review the recovery to the next GPS landmark

70–80% window: ending speeds 146.4 km/h full lap vs 156.6 km/h final run. Minimum speeds were similar: 47.2 vs 48.1 km/h.

Suggested review: ask an instructor to compare the exit plan and the time spent rebuilding speed. For a novice, repeat a comfortable line and follow the event briefing. The telemetry does not establish throttle timing, available grip or an ideal Porsche technique.

Keep the pit return out of the lap ranking

Full-lap duration 225.487 s; final run 230.954 s. The final run ends in the pits, not on the racing line.

Suggested review: use the comparable earlier GPS windows, not the total time, to discuss consistency. On future recordings, capture two complete racing-line laps under similar conditions. Never use the F1 ghost as a speed target.

Replay controls

Illustrative dashboard assumptions

The speed is recorded. The other controls are proxies, not a claim about what the driver actually did.

Shift bands are deliberately generic: 20, 45, 70, 100, 135, 170 and 210 km/h. They are not 911 ratios or a recommended driving technique.

Wheelbase assumption: 2.5 m. Steering ratio assumption: 15:1. These are schematic display parameters, not measured Porsche settings.

Red “Decelerating” means speed is falling. Brake input is unknown. Green “Accelerating” means speed is rising. Throttle input is unknown.

Silverstone circuit guide

General GP circuit context, not landmark positions on your GPS trace.

Abbey → Farm → Village → The Loop → Aintree → Wellington Straight → Brooklands → Luffield → Woodcote → Copse → Maggotts / Becketts / Chapel → Hangar Straight → Stowe → Vale → Club.

Named corner locations and buildings will be overlaid only after the promised circuit map has been supplied and checked. The current main drawing is the recorded path.

Cars / user-supplied specification

Both: Porsche 991 GT3 RS, naturally aspirated 3,996 cm³ six-cylinder boxer, 513 HP at 8,250 rpm, 470 Nm, 8,800 rpm limit, direct injection, user-stated 315 km/h and 3.2 s 0–100 km/h. These figures are supplied context, not used to alter recorded performance.

Mr. White: ceramic brakes; camber top mounts, custom Eibach front springs with increased spring rate, lowering springs and bump-steer tie rod ends.

Mr. Orange: steel brakes with race pads; factory suspension setup. Both: rollcage, bucket seats, race belts.

Gear display assumes a seven-speed PDK proxy. Generation-specific ratios, tyres and weather have not been supplied. Differences in setup cannot establish a cause for differences between laps.
